Hey Oppo,

Need help with tires. Need some good, long lasting , all-season tires. with my current job ill be putting over 24,000 miles a year on the car. I generally run studded winters in the deep part of winter but I’m wanting something that if we have a mild winter I can still run the all-seasons maybe.

Edit: well, apparently it’s are expensive and my wallet is not appropriately matched and since I absolutely HAVE to have a full set today, I went with what I could afford (ie the cheapest random import I could get. Nothing for it. This sucks. Im going to order have to order  two direzza DZ102’s to make a full set of summers to run for the Oppo meet next week once I get more money. I’d rather that than some random econo tire.

Any brand name with an m+s label should do the trick. See what people are putting on their Camrys.

Wait for Costco to have a sale and buy a decent set of Michelin a ll-season whatever s. I was called into work and missed my appointment so I didn’t get the free installation deal, and I wasn’t willing to wait for the $70 off deal. I like the tires; they’re quiet, have good grip and have served me well through rain and snow. An 80,000 mile warranty is a nice plus.

The General Altimax RT43 is a fantastic all season tire, for a great price. They handle great wet, dry, and snow. I’ve put them on a couple of cars, and  had my father-in-law put a set on his Equinox. The one thing I cannot speak to though, is their longevity. I didn’t keep either of those cars long enough to test that, and my FIL hasn’t even had them a year yet.  If they made them in the size for my truck, I’d put them on that too.

I got some Michelin Defender LTX tires a couple weeks ago, and they’re good.

I’ve got Goodyear Assurance Comfortred Touring tires. 70k mile treadwear warranty, quick, fuel efficient, and decent grip. Awful in the gravel though.

If you’re in a state with Discount Tire, I recommend the Yoko YK580 or whatever version is the current one.
